Info about location: Bondi beach is the most popular beach in the eastern suburb of Sydney and a paradise for swimmers.
The Bondi Icebergs 50m swimming pool is located on the south side of Bondi, this area usually has dangerous currents for swimmers and put swimmers in a dangerous environment.
n the middle of Bondi Beach is the Bondi pavilion and Bondi surf club.
It is the safest place to enter the ocean, with lifeguards patrolling the beaches daily. On the north side, Bondi is where the surf club and the children’s pool is located.
The North side of Bondi is a safe place to enter the water. Bondi is surrounded by public parks, shops, cafes and restaurants to relax after an ocean swim.

Parking: Yes, parking places right next to the beach with payment required or 2 hours free parking on local streets.
Swim info:
As a swimmer in Bondi you will need to know four ‘points’ in Bondi.
On north side is Ben Buckler cliff, in middle Bondi Pavilion, on south side is Iceberg swimming pool and further out is Mackenzie’s point.
Life guards patrol the area in-between the red and yellow flags, which are in front of the pavilion and North Bondi surf club.
These areas are considered the safest when entering or leaving the water you should do so here. Keep in mind once you leave the patrolled areas your safety becomes your responsibility.

Danger:
Bondi is facing to south direction.
Strong winds and swells from the south can bring big swells and created dangerous surf conditions.
Marina life shark, blue bottles and sea lice.
Swim direction and distance: The swimming distance between the middle of the beach where the pavilion is to Ben buckler is around 400-450m.
If you start are North of Bondi and go to Ben Buckler it is only 200- 250m. From Ben Buckler you can go to either Iceberg pool or Mackenzie’s point,
Iceberg is 700-750m away and Mackenzie’s point is 750-800m away.
In nice and smooth conditions, you will catch a glimpse of the marine life in Bondi.
