Coogee

Swim Report

Today's swim was at coogee which is one of my favourites.
Water was a bit warmer at about 21 but outside was a wee bit different from the day before.
Vlad was rugged up as he was feeling a bit poorly. Good plan as the breeze did have a bit of bite to it.
By the time we left after brekky it was much better.
18 swimmers split into 2 groups with
Martin Vavrekeventually joining the less adventurous ones after a few false starts on the banana boat and Scott Miers helped us out by taking the crazier ones out and around the island.
Between 4-6km was done by most and a few new faces were boosting the ranks. Welcome to Michail,
Louise Willdridge, Ana, David Mac, and Sarah Koen.
Hope you enjoyed it.

Coogee Swim

Coogee Beach

Coogee is a beachside suburb of local government area City of Randwick 8 kilometres south-east of the Sydney central business district, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. It is also a part of the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney.[2]
The Tasman Sea and Coogee Bay along with Coogee Beach lie towards the eastern side of the suburb. The beach is popular for swimming and famous for its dangerous shorebreaks. The boundaries of Coogee are formed mainly by Clovelly Road, Carrington Road and Rainbow Street, with arbitrary lines drawn to join these thoroughfares to the coast in the north-east and south-east corners.
