La Perouse

Swim Report

An easy session today. Fiona, Simon (1 lap only) Marty, Dean, John C, Cyril all ventured to La Perouse for a swim before South Head tomorrow. It's was good to get back to the salt water after being in the fresh water atVic Park.
Wind was brisk, bit of a swell but water was lovely (apparently) with no attacking sea monsters.

Justin made a brief appearance but after spending the evening assembling Black Dog 1&2 he has realised that they were a wee bit on the small side for the swim tomorrow so he ran away to find a bigger boat.
After our massive effort we relocated to "the Green Olive" for a well earned breakfast.

Meanwhile John J and Jim who are not swimming tomorrow are at Vic Park churning out a solid 15km as part of their channel training. According to their supervisor Ewen they are ok and happily eating Mars bars. We are thinking of them as we have our coffee. Nice aren't we.

La Perouse, Congwong Bay

La Perouse NSW

Is located on the northern entrance to Botany Bay adjacent to La Perouse.
The 500 m wide bay is bordered by Henry Head to the east and Bare Island in the west.
There are two beaches (one is known by nudists, but don't tell anyone) that are separated by 200 m of rocky shore and both within the Botany Bay National Park.
Swimming is very pleasant with gentle surf and beautiful and peacul scenery of national park.
