Little Manly Harbour Swim
Swim Report
Another gorgeous Saturday morning but this time at a new location – Little Manly Beach, recommended by Cae. And what a good recommendation it was. Lovely flat water, a nice 2.5 – 3km loop which was perfect for feeding each lap taking around 45 - 50mins. The lap was around the shoreline to Little Collins Beach. We stayed away from Quarantine due to fact that there was a bit of water traffic around. Water was about 22 degrees and about the same outside.
13 swimmers came along and by the time the sun was up we could see it was going to be a great day. This location seemed to be the place were the most wildlife was sighted. We had reports of lots of fish, turtles and even a shopping trolley. At around 930 we had a bit of extra scenary to look at as Zoggs were doing a photo shoot so a few models were strutting around the beach. As coffee time hit, the next test was on – do we have good coffee? Answer was - Yes. So pretty well all the boxes were ticked for a return trip for a sat session. The only downside was parking as the spots near the boat ramp were full early but there was a council car park up the hill a bit which didn’t actually require a small fortune to park in. Just an uphill hike at the end of the session. So for a 4 hour swim we had a great location and everyone had a great swim.
Little Manly swim - come early around 6:40am, finding parking
- first swim at this location for Vladswimmers (look map below)
- swimmers already swam here Cae, Ben, Miles, Michael the guru guys
- swim from Little Manly to Spring Cove, second beach on South East
- loop from Manly to second beach and back around 3km
- feeding after one loop 45-50min
- feeding from beach no longer than 2min
- Plan is swim 4hours in Aerobic swim pace
- Zoggs company will come to do some ADV. shots

Little Manly Cove (SH 4) is one of the more popular harbour beaches. It has good vehicle access, is only 1 km from Manly Wharf, as well as having a tidal swimming pool, boat ramp (Fig. 4.222), small car park, park and toilets, with boats permanently moored off the beach. The 140 m long beach faces south and is usually full of picnickers and swimmers during summer, as well as fishers using the rocks to either side. It is backed by a low seawall then the sloping grassy park, with the pool at the eastern end, and open central section and boat ramp at the western end.
